First Attempt, The ingredients
- Half a packet of yeast
- 1lb. of regular honey
- Warm water filling the rest of a 64 fl. oz growler that the 1 pound of honey did not take up.
The fermentation seems to have succeeded, however during the process there were no bubbles in the airlock like there should be so that is still up for debate. I do believe that fermentation succeeded however due to the carbonation in the result of the drink. This mead was better chilled than at room temperature. Has a golden honey look to it as it has no additional flavors added to the mixture. Scent is strong in the growler but not very noticeable in a glass. I rate this attempt a 40/100 due to being able to enjoy drinking the mead, but it makes me feel like there is a lot that I need to, and will, improve on.
